Czech independent painter and designer, the author of original incommutable style, founder of the Studio Augustin.
RICHARD AUGUSTIN was born in 1975 in the south of the Czech Republic. In 1993 he began technical studies of West Bohemia University, where he graduated with „DTP and graphic design studios“ disertation five years later. After studies, he devoted himself to graphic design and black&white photography along with cognition and living throughout Europe. Here he founded the first Augustin Atelier.
In 2000, Augustin moved to Prague, working for a variety of publishing houses as Art Director. He founded the Satelier, focussed on organising paintwork and exhibitions, he worked as well as film director assistant and shot his own short films, photographed fashion, worked for advertising agencies, is leading a music band, organized the first authorship exhibitions. Later he art directed dailies in the Czech Republic, Romania and Serbia, but eventually painting prevailed.
From 2005 Augustin began to exhibit in Prague‘s galleries and painting become his profession. He creates pictures throughout the world, especially in Europe and Asia and is attending a variety of collective exhibitions with Prague‘s artists and galleries.
In an old parish house in a little town south of Prague he established the Studio Augustin. There he organizes art symposiums and courses and all above is painting. His work was exhibited also at the occasion of the Czech Republic’s presidency of EU in Brussels.
